I’m not into making new year’s resolutions, I’m more into intention-setting. It’s easy to break resolutions, but with intentions you can change strategies to get you where you want to be. Intentions and goals give you a direction to aspire for, while resolutions are usually a means to a goal.
If you haven’t thought about what you want to accomplish in 2021, start now! Get a pen and a piece of paper. First, write down everything that you are grateful for in 2020. What lessons did you learn in 2020? Be thankful for any life changes, especially with the pandemic and all. After, write down your intentions on how you want your 2021 to be. Remember, you are planting the seeds, setting something into motion to help you create the life you want to manifest.
I’m sharing a 9-minute meditation in three parts that you can do for the next 40 days to give you a fresh start.
This meditation is said to change the molecular structure of your body and mind. It will help you reset, restart, and give you a new sense of freedom and lightness. Here’s how to do it:
Sit in Easy Pose (or in a chair), raise your right arm to a 60-degree angle in front of you and bring your left arm in a 60-degree tip pointing downward behind you. The two arms should form a straight 60-degree line. Keep the elbows stretched and the index finger of each hand extended with the thumb locking down the other fingers. The palm of the right-hand mudra is downward, and the palm of the left-hand mudra is upward. The eyes are closed and focused at the center of the chin. Breathe slowly and deeply for 3 Minutes.
In the second part, keep the same arm position, extend the pinkie finger with the index finger. Lock the other fingers down with the thumb. Stretch the arms straight and keep the focus at the center of the chin. Breathe slowly and deeply for 3 Minutes.
For the last part, maintain the arm position and extend all five fingers. Tighten all the muscles of the body and stretch the arms. Eyes remain focused at the center of the chin. Continue to breathe slowly and deeply for 3 minutes. To end, inhale, hold the breath for 10 seconds, stretch and tighten all the body muscles. Exhale and repeat this sequence two more times. Relax.
Start fresh! Here’s wishing you good health, laughter, and a better 2021!
In loving service,
Rosan
