Hello from Sambali Beach Farm in Botolan, Zambales! The place is heavenly! The owner, Ching Camara, shared that, “Despite its beach setting, the farm is not a resort, rather it is a natural, organic place where guests can learn about environmental and natural farming techniques, and at the same time enjoy the beach and its surroundings.”
This weekend’s Kundalini yoga and nature retreat is so timely. We will still be feeling the effects of this powerful full moon in Aries. Full moons are all about letting go, and Aries is about pioneering, leadership, and individuality. Astrologers describe this full moon as highly transformative, one that stirs a big wave of energy in our lives.
“Use the vibrations of this Full Moon to conquer fears and to ride with love in the driver’s seat. It may also bring some closure and endings to situations that have needed your attention for a while.”
So the vibe of this period, the full moon in Aries plus the planets in retrograde (Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter and Mercury) are going direct. This may help release negative, limiting patterns and push us forward, giving us the courage to go for what we want.
Tap into this full moon energy of self-leadership and self-initiation for new beginnings and changes. It’s time to ask: Is what I’m doing right now reflecting the life I want? Am I trying to force something to work that will truly never satisfy me? Am I being honest with myself about my reality? Do I like where and who I am? What do I need to let go of? What have I been stalling over finishing? Is this the life I want for me?
I’m sharing this meditation that I’m teaching in this retreat that may help reprogram childhood patterns.
Limiting and destructive patterns are usually learned in childhood. This meditation resets the coordinates of trauma, and balances the chakras and meridians in the body.
Here’s how to do it:
Sit crossed-legged on the floor or chair. Place your left-hand flat against your chest at the heart center. Fingers are parallel, thumb points towards the face. Bend the elbow. Extend the Index Finger straight up. Fold the remaining fingers into the palm with the thumb holding down the fingers. Eyes are closed.
Chant the mantra SA TA NA MA out loud while the right hand’s extended Index Finger touches the following points: Sa as you touch the middle of the lower lip, Ta as you touch the tip of the nose, be sure you “point” the finger. Na as you touch the outer edge of the RIGHT eye socket, the region of the skull bone near the outside of the eye. (next count, touch the LEFT). Ma as you touch the point between the eyebrows. Each round of touching the points and chanting the mantra through takes about 4-5 seconds
Do this for 11 minutes. Note that 33 minutes is the maximum time for this meditation. To end, inhale, hold your breath 15 seconds, and feel your inner child by self-hypnosis. Exhale. Inhale a second time, hold your breath for 20 seconds and picture yourself as a child in your heart, where your left hand is. Exhale. The last one, inhale and hold your breath for 30 seconds, repeat the picture of yourself, and bless that child and yourself. Exhale.
Wishing you release and a stronger sense of self this season.
In loving service,
Rosan
