The six-month mark is an opportunity to take the time to stop and reflect on how the year has been for you.
Coming from a corporate background, I see it as the mid-year performance review to assess where you are at in terms of your efforts and your goals. A mid-year review helps employees examine their progress and stay motivated. We can apply the process to our personal life to assess where we are right now. Reflect and ask yourself, what aspect of your life are you most proud of? Where do you feel you could improve? What is working and what is not working? Are there any skills you want to learn? What are your personal goals for the year? Are you in alignment with your goals? What can you do or edit in your life to take you closer to your goals?
Take this time to contemplate and ask yourself what keeps you from moving forward? Or maybe you may want to tweak your goals? These questions are essential, especially if you’ve been distracted or carried away by the events and challenges in your life.
Like the mid-year review, identify the issues and concerns, the possible solutions, and what you can learn from what happened, and then develop action plans.
Let’s celebrate our wins from the 6 months past, and here’s to the 6 months ahead!
In loving service,
Rosan
