I’m writing this from the heart of Mama Bali I’m back here to serving as a support trainer for KRI’s Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training (KYTT) Level One immersion. This is an honor and am thrilled to be here.

This immersive 21-day, 250-hour program is a profound journey of learning and practice. I find great joy in these immersions, especially with our Sadhana sessions every morning at 5:00 AM. There’s a deep sense of peace that envelops me during these early hours, setting a serene tone for the day ahead.

The lead trainer for this program is Sat Siri, a remarkable teacher whom I first encountered during my initial immersion in Española, New Mexico, back in 2019 and again last year in Bali. Her teachings have deeply influenced my journey, making this experience even more meaningful.

I’ll be here until October 26 and am excited about my role as a support trainer once more. Teaching a diverse group of students while indulging in healing practices is something I truly cherish. I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to deepen my practice and connect with like-minded souls. This beautiful place, with its rich culture and spiritual energy, never ceases to inspire me.

Being here makes me remember my first visit to Ubud in July 2008.

I sought out Ketut Iyer, the medicine man made famous by Eat Pray Love. At that time, he was so popular that there was a long line of tourists waiting to see him.

I was traveling with two friends, and Ketut read our palms, napes, and legs separately. What struck us as odd was that he gave all three of us the same reading: “You’re a traveler, you will live to be a hundred years old, very smart, heart good, liver good,” etc. We left amused but somewhat skeptical and donated the minimum of 200,000 rupiah each.

Since that encounter, I haven’t returned to see him. Instead, I’ve embraced other spiritual practices here in Ubud. I prefer Water Purification ceremonies and make it a point to visit the Pyramids of Chi for sound healing sessions. The Yoga Barn is another favorite spot where I explore various yoga styles. Last July, I did a detox and tried all their wellness classes including the transformative 9D breathwork session.

I look forward to sharing more experiences and insights. Until next time, may your days be filled with peace and joy.

In loving service,

Rosan
