It’s been twenty-two days since you’ve set your New Year intentions. If your intentions haven’t manifested yet, doubt may set in and you’d ask, “When is this ever going to happen?”

There is a beautiful affirmation in the practice of Kundalini Yoga that goes, “Patience pays. Wait. Let the hand of God work for you. The One who has created you, let Him create all the environments, circumstances, and facilities and faculties…. Oh, individual, why are you in a very doubtful state? The One who has made you will take care of you. The One who has created this Universe, all the planets, planetary faculties, and facilities on Earth, He is the One who has created you. Wait. Have Patience. Lean on him. And all the best things will come to you…. So please take away the ghost of your life and stop chasing around. Consolidate. Concentrate. Be you. And may all the peace and peaceful environments, prosperity approach you forever. Sat Nam.”

When you’re impatient, you end up becoming controlling and manipulative and this may cause a lot of drama and trauma. I used to be that type of person that wanted immediate results. I think I picked this habit in my former corporate life where my boss would often tell me, “I needed this yesterday.” I’d move heaven and earth to keep his timeline, and it caused a lot of heartaches, unnecessary frustration, and stress. And we all know that stress takes its toll on health. With the uncertainty of this pandemic, the last thing we need is to get sick due to stress associated with being impatient.

I’ve been practicing yoga and meditation for some time now, and it has taught me to wait and see what comes. When things don’t work out as planned, it means that there is something better ahead. The truth is, genuine manifesting is not about what we think we want but about receiving the highest and best for all.

If things are not going your way and frustration and impatience is starting to creep in, take slow deep breaths or maybe take a walk to clear your head to refocus on what you truly value. The point is to find some time for you to decompress.

Here’s a prayer to help you relax and let go:

I surrender to the universe

instead of focusing on the outcome,

I pray for the highest good for all.

Maybe this is a time to slow down, stress less, and practice a little more patience. Your mind and body will thank you for it.

The founder ofKundalini Yoga emphasizes, “Patience works. Patience leads to neutrality, and neutrality leads to understanding, and understanding leads to relaxation, and relaxation leads to healing, and healing leads to elevation. Patience allows the journey to be relaxed. Patience leads to happiness. After all, the goal of life is happiness.”

If being patient leads to being happier, then isn’t it worth trying?

While we struggle with being patient, continue the practice.

Yes, that sounds like a segue to promote classes – but it’s true! The practice of Kundalini Yoga helps with not just physical health, but mental and emotional health. I have some fun classes and new programs lined up, and I hope they help you like they help me work through my impatience and other mental and emotional blocks.

For February, the next Kundalini Yoga series is Vibrate in the Frequency of Love 8-class series. If you need to clear out old relationships or open your heart to receive more love and abundance, this is the class for you. And if you want to do something different for Valentine’s, I’ll be teaching a fun partner yoga class to blend and balance opposite or contrasting energies between you and your partner, child, parent, or sibling. And for those who’ve been asking about Theta healing, the basic course is scheduled for March. Join in, it will be worth the investment!

Practice letting go, so you let the things that are right for you come in.

In loving service,

Rosan
