There’s a passage in the Bible that says “The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed; those who help others are helped.” I feel so blessed that I’ve got all the help I needed.
Last weekend was very hectic. It was the final face-to-face weekend of the Philippines’ sangat of the South East Asian + Australia (SEAA) Level 1 Kundalini Yoga teacher training. Then I was invited to the 13th anniversary of the USANA Philippines event at the SMX Convention Center to give a short sound healing gong bath to complement the launch of their new stress-relief mood support supplements.
The practice of Kundalini Yoga, with its kriyas and meditations, has taught me how to be calm and steady. There were 5,000 people from all over the Philippines at USANA Philippine’s recognition event. I was nervous at seeing the crowd, but when they started doing what I asked them to do – inhale and exhale, lift their arms and shake – I relaxed. It was so quiet that I could hear a pin drop! What helped was that I imagined myself teaching a class, and everything flowed smoothly from then on.
I am sharing this meditation for blessings
Meditation is a way to train attention and awareness, to achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state It’s a practical tool that carefully and precisely support the mind and guide the body through the use of eye gaze, mudras, breath and some meditations have mantras. There’s a meditation for anything. And this one is specifically for blessings:
Close your eyes and look deep into the navel point. Imagine that you are a noble and angelic being, blessing the Universe and all people, good and bad, even those who hate you. Use the word “Bless” in your mind, constantly and consistently. Let your heart open, and feel caring and kind. Start with 5 minutes and work your way to 9 minutes; then bless yourself for 2 minutes. To end, inhale and hold your breath as long as possible and circulate the blessings throughout your body. Exhale. Repeat the sequence twice for a total of 3 times.
Wishing you a reflective Easter weekend, may you continue to bless others and be a blessing and inspiration to them.
In loving service,
Rosan
