On Tuesday, October 21 at 8:05 PM (Manila Time), we welcome the New Moon in Libra, a gentle yet powerful reset.

According to astrologers, the New Moon in Libra closes the intense eclipse cycle and opens a new lunar phase focused on healing relational wounds and restoring harmony, both within ourselves and in our connections with others.

This New Moon invites us to pause and reflect on how we relate, love, and communicate. Libra’s energy encourages us to explore new ways of being in relationships, not only with those we care about, but also with our own hearts. It’s a moment to see our patterns more clearly, understand what they’ve been teaching us, and begin again with a deeper sense of balance and awareness.

If certain relationships have been weighing heavily — people or situations that bring pain, drain your energy, or hold you back — the New Moon in Libra offers a gentle nudge to release what no longer serves. Libra, represented by the scales, reminds us that true peace begins from within, by finding the midpoint between giving and receiving, between caring for others and honoring ourselves.

Venus, the Goddess of Love and Beauty, rules this New Moon, adding extra emphasis to themes of partnership, grace, and emotional harmony. With Venus guiding the energy, matters of the heart become more vivid and meaningful. In the weeks ahead, we’ll have opportunities to restore reciprocity and cooperation, learning to honor our needs while remaining connected to who we truly are.

To align with this healing energy, you can try this simple meditation to release emotional wounds from the past.

This meditation helps clear emotional residue and opens space for forgiveness and renewal. You can start with one minute for each posture and gradually build up to three.

Sit with a straight spine and your eyes closed, gazing softly downward toward the center of your chin. Lift your right arm in front of you at a sixty-degree angle and your left arm behind you at the same angle, forming a straight line from front to back. Keep your elbows straight and extend your index fingers, locking the other fingers down with your thumbs. Breathe slowly and deeply for one minute, then extend your pinky fingers for another minute and finally, extend all your fingers for one more minute. Start with one minute for each posture and gradually build up to three.

This coming Tuesday’s Rebirthing Class is also an opportunity to go deeper with this Practice. That night will be the night of the New Moon, so we will be using that energy to focus on releasing transit memories — the deep imprints from past experiences that unconsciously shape our present lives.
