Hello from the Maldives.
I’ve been here for six days going back to one of my earliest loves — diving. I feel better and more energized. Before the trip I was having problems sleeping due to the construction next to my building. The noise from drilling and construction would keep me up past midnight to the wee hours of the morning.
The sea has always been my respite. I’m glad that I made it my goal this year to go back to the things that bring me joy. I’ve actually started diving way back when I was in college, and I’m glad that I haven’t stopped.
Diving is actually like doing yoga and meditation.

It’s very quiet underwater and impossible to talk. I can only hear my bubbles as I breathe in and out. It’s the perfect place to quiet the mind and keep it focus on the present moment.
It’s been said again and again that attention to the breath can be healing, so is silence. Amazing how such simple and available gestures can give way to make one feel reborn? Wherever you are this Lenten season, find time to be silent, breathe, and re-center yourself.
At whatever stage you are in your life as of writing, I wish you all a good Holy Week. Meditate, reflect and renew.
In loving service,
Rosan
