We are approaching eclipse season. We start next week on November 19 with a full moon lunar eclipse, which is the longest lunar eclipse in the last 508 years.
The eclipse will be partially visible in Manila. Timing-wise, it begins when the Moon enters penumbra at 2:02 pm, reach its greatest maximum at 5:26 pm and ends at 6:47 pm (Manila time). Unfortunately, the actual maximum won’t be seen because the Moon is below the horizon at that time.
Everything will be intense as the key word with a full moon lunar eclipse is change. Emotions are high and feelings are exaggerated. Eclipses get a bad rap because we get triggered easily and become upset by unexpected changes. If you’ve resisted change, then this lunar eclipse may feel like violent volcanic energy for you. You may be feeling unable to sleep, emotionally unsettled, unproductive, and déjà vu.
As their energy will be like extra potent Full Moons, they illuminate areas of our lives that need to be cleared and swept away. Lunar eclipses shine a light on all that no longer needs to be present with us.
This full moon lunar eclipse falls in the sign of Taurus, the sign of the Earth
We can use this symbolism to guide us through the lunar energies. Taurus is an Earth and fixed sign. It is about stability, trustworthiness, generosity, loyalty, creativity, greed, materialism, instant gratification, money, and fertility. At this time, you may feel a strong need to explore your need for security.
According to Intuitive Astrology, this Taurus eclipse is the first we have experienced since 2014. If you want to know what this may bring into your life, “Think back to what soul growth you underwent from 2013-2014.” Venus is the ruling planet of Taurus and represents love, relationships, and finances. It rules what we value and find worthy. So this may come up during this time.
Eclipses come in pairs. The new moon total solar eclipse in Sagittarius happens on December 4 (not visible in Manila, though). It’s still focusing on relationship issues and communication.
