Miracles happen!
After more than 20 years, I’ve finally crossed one item off my bucket list, which is to dive the Cenotes of México. As some of you know, I was a technical diver in the late 1990s and my buddies (we were four cave divers) and I wanted to culminate our GUE cave training in Ginnie Springs with the “ultimate” dive in the Cenotes. I didn’t make it to training with them but completed it the following year in Phuket, Thailand.
I am so happy that I made my biggest dream come true by diving the cenotes these last two days in Tulum. It’s as I imagined it — fresh clear water, dramatic stalactites, and room enough to go in and out. It’s so different from what I was accustomed to in the Philippines where I had to go through narrow crevices and slits to get into the caves.

There are more than a thousand cenotes in Tulum. The Mayans called it the window to the underworld.

El Pit, 60 meters in diameter with 30 meters in depth of its area in natural light; the bottom is more than 45 meters.
One of my tech buddies commented on my instagram story “It’s totally amazing you’re going through with the plan hahaha!! I told my brother exactly the same thing: Wala na siguro Rosan and Adrian.. let’s go and do it while we can.”.
That put a smile on my face that he remembered and since I am no longer in touch, I’m the one who pushed through with our plan.
So as you can see, never give up on your dreams. As George Eliot, one of my favorite novelists said, “It’s never too late to be what you might have been.” And I apply this to anything I life including what you want to do.
A bucket list can be something that reminds you to step out of your comfort zone.
Think of what’s important to YOU and that it’s possible to act on them and manifest. As the young ones used to say, YOLO – you only live once!
So go ahead and grab a pen and start writing what YOU really want to do, see and experience in life. It’s never too late. Focus on things that matters to you. After all, it took me more than 20 years to dive the cenotes.
And now for the long road home…
I will be back in Manila on Monday and the class at 3pm is to commemorate our peaceful People Power revolution that led to overthrowing a dictator President. In line with the holiday, the set is to reclaim our power, build the radiant body, activate the higher chakras and dissolve challenges.
