There have been forecasts also for natural disasters. In my 2019 blog post following the 6.1 magnitude earthquake in Castillejos, Zambales, I talked about the astrological perspective, noting Uranus’s transit through Taurus—a period astrologers associate with increased seismic and volcanic activity. Uranus, symbolizing radical change and disruption, has been in Taurus since May 2018 and will remain there until July 7, 2025 before briefly retrograding back from November 8, 2025 until April 26, 2026.

Beyond physical preparedness, cultivating mental resilience is equally important.

I’m sharing a Kundalini Yoga meditation to enhance intuition and sensitivity to earth changes. The meditation involves specific hand positions and breathing exercises to promote calm and awareness during emergencies.

Here’s how to do it:

Sit straight. Hold your hands at the solar plexus level in fists, extend the index fingers, keep straight.

Place the right index finger on top of the left index finger, with fingers crossing exactly in the middle of the second segment so that a special meridian contact will take place. Inhale deeply and very slowly (15 seconds) through the nose.

Exhale through the puckered mouth (not whistling) forcefully and completely, directing the breath at the tips of the index fingers. Feel the fingertips getting cold or vibrating. Continue for a maximum of 11 minutes. When you finish, lock the fingers and stretch.

Stay safe, and may the frequent practice help you stay focused and calm when needed.
