Mercury is in retrograde until November 29, inviting us to slow down, breathe and pay closer attention. As the planet closest to the Sun, Mercury goes into retrograde three to four times a year and is known as the cosmic trickster, as it has a way of stirring things up: messages get crossed, plans shift, and sometimes we find ourselves redoing what we thought was already done. It can be frustrating, and this last retrograde of the year feels especially intense.

According to astrologers, there’s a lot happening in the skies right now — Saturn, Neptune, Chiron, Uranus and Jupiter are also in retrograde. All this energy is pulling us inward, asking us to review where we are and make space for what’s next. You may notice old feelings resurfacing or conversations we thought were over might reopen. It’s part of the process of clearing and realigning.

This is a beautiful time for the “re” words.

If you’re planning trips, sending important messages, or making big decisions, it’s best to move slowly and double-check the details. Take it as a reminder to stay flexible and remember that delays are really divine timing, gently guiding us exactly where we need to be.

To support this inward season, I’m sharing a chanting meditation to calm the mind and steady your energy.

It helps clear mental clutter and strengthens your projection — your words, your truth, your presence. This meditation works on the 5th chakra, the center of communication, helping you align what you say with what you mean and speak from your highest Self.

Here’s how to do it:
Sit with a straight spine. Interlace your fingers so they rest inside your palms. Bend your middle and ring fingers so the pads press lightly together. Keep your index and little fingers straight and crossed over each other, and point your thumbs upward.

Hold your arms parallel to the ground, with your hands at the level of your throat. Eyes focused at the tip of the nose. Inhale deeply, and on one breath, chant the mantra five times: Ong Kaar, Ong Kaar, Ong Kaar, Ong Kaar, Ong Kaar.

With each inhale, feel your breath travel all the way to your navel. Stay centered as the vibration of the mantra settles your mind and clears your energy. To end, inhale deeply, hold the breath, focus your gaze gently at the brow point, and exhale. Repeat twice more.

Be gentle with yourself and the people around you. Rest when you need to. Do the meditation. Slow down when things feel too fast. Reflect before reacting.

In loving service,
Rosan
