We have the first pair of eclipses for this year in May. Eclipses usually come in pairs every six months – i.e., the New Moon Solar Eclipse and the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse. Eclipses are harbingers of change and can be pretty intense. They speed things up and push you to where you should be going.

We will be experiencing a partial Solar Eclipse on May 1 at 4:28 am. A solar eclipse appears when the Moon comes in between the Earth and the Sun, blocking the Sun’s rays from reaching the Earth. It is said that a solar eclipse is three times more potent than a New Moon and often brings exciting new beginnings, fresh starts, and new chapters. The vibe is optimistic.

The Lunar eclipse will happen two weeks later, on May 16 at 12:14. This is when the Earth comes between the Sun and Moon. The vibe is highly emotional as it brings abrupt and sudden change, letting go of anything that is no longer working.

If you’ve been having sleepless nights the past two weeks or even feel agitated or having unusual dreams, it’s because of the coming eclipse. Some even experience a sudden burst of creativity and even relationship difficulties.

The first pair of eclipses is happening in the sign of Taurus, a fixed Earth sign.

The archetype is the steadfast and patient bull with the instinct to manifest and plod to be successful and productive. The Taurus energy also deals with money and teaches us to get in touch with our true values by tuning into what opens our hearts and what makes life worth living.

Astrologer Courtney O’Reilly recommends embracing the changes as part of your evolution. She says, “The key with eclipses in your sign is to remain curious, flexible, and trust that what is changing now is meant to change. Working with, rather than against, the shifts that come will ultimately elevate your life if you let it.”

On Sunday, May 1, I’ll be teaching a meditation to help you bring yourself into vibrational alignment with your destiny by shifting your consciousness. It will enable you to find the silver lining in the challenges you face and keep you steady on your path.

While here’s the how-to, I’m told that this would work well when you practice with a teacher, a class or with friends!

Sit straight in Easy Pose. Place the right palm on the back of the left hand. Both palms face down in front of your torso at the level of the Heart Center. Keep your eyes 1/10th open and focused at the tip of the nose. Chant the mantra three times on a single breath: Ha-ree naam sat naam ha-ree naam ha-ree, Ha-ree naam sat naam sat naam ha-ree, for 31 minutes.

Hari means the creative flow of the Divine. Sat means truth. Nam means vibration. The combination of those words suggest that the only true vibration is the creative flow the Infinite.

May the moon light your way to bloom into your full potential.

In loving service,
Rosan
