It’s eclipse season, and this April’s new moon will make for a very rare solar eclipse! t’s a hybrid eclipse, a rare type. It starts as an Annular Eclipse, where you can see a ring of fire around the Sun, then becomes a Total Eclipse, where the Sun is completely blocked, and then Annular again.
The eclipse will be on Thursday at 11:44 am (Manila time) and falls at 29°50′, just 10′ away from leaving Aries. In Astrology, the final degree of any zodiac sign is known as the Anaretic degree and symbolizes karmic completion.
Intuitive Astrology says, “Having such a powerful Eclipse on this highly charged point indicates an unfolding karmic event or destiny. It also indicates something coming to the point of closure, leaving space for the new to emerge.”
Eclipses are extra potent new and full moons that accelerate change and transformation. They often serve as catalysts for significant endings and new beginnings.
What to expect from this powerful Solar Eclipse
Pam Gregory affirms, “This is an incredibly powerful Solar Eclipse, not only because it is in Aries the sign of initiation, dynamism, and new beginnings, and is as North Node Eclipse which means we are very focused on a new future… It is a big New Moon, so a new beginning, but often there are important endings that come along with it. Personally, it can bring in out-of-the-blue opportunities, especially again if you have any Aries planets in your birth chart. It can even bring people to prominence quite suddenly. Eclipses operate like ‘wild cards’.”
How to prepare for the rare solar eclipse
Use the time to reflect on what you truly want to improve or what is being triggered as it may give you some clues as to where your work is in emotional, physical, or mental areas. Be careful not to judge events and triggers as the end of all negativity, as these are often reminders of where we need to focus.
The rare hybrid eclipse, according to Alex Myles, “it has the potential to shake things up and create significant shifts in people and situations, allowing only what aligns with our deepest dreams, goals, and desires to remain.”
Try to take a good look at where you are right now: your space, your health, your habits, your relationships, your work, and your intentions, and if you can, make a list of the things you can do to move forward and take action. Try not to dwell on the past. It will not serve you. Be present, accepting, flexible and responsible.
In loving service,
