Hello from the City of Light, Paris! If you want to cut to the chase and get the forecast for the upcoming eclipse season, skip over to the next section. But if you like going to museums and appreciating art, keep on reading.
I’m here to support Philippine art, specifically the first solo exhibition of my best friend’s husband, Elmer Borlongan, at the Galerie Geraldine Banier. The show “When Time Stood Still” presents 15 new paintings and monotypes produced during the Covid years.
Elmer, a contemporary artist, is best known for his distinctive use of figurative expressionism. His work is characterized by stylized figuration, bald heads, large eyes, and elongated limbs. I am so happy he is showing his works here during the Paris+ Art Base, the most prominent art fair in the world. The show is part of celebrating the 75th anniversary of relations between the Philippines and France.
Eclipse season starts with next week’s New Moon Solar Eclipse in Scorpio on October 25 and the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Taurus on November 8.
Intuitive astrology says that solar eclipses “open doors and can form new energetic pathways that we get to travel down. Their energy is fresh, even inviting, and can remind us of what our soul came here to achieve.” She advises everyone to stay open to what comes in and use this time to recharge, protect, and nourish the body, mind, and soul.
To navigate this intense eclipse season, you can do the Aad Such chanting meditations, which I shared two weeks ago. Or join the Frog Challenge. We will do this slowly, working our way to 108 frogs in 12 days. Frog is a great yoga pose when you feel the energy is not flowing correctly in your body or when you feel stuck in your mind.
Frog Pose works on your upper thighs, which stimulates the part of your body that impacts your kidneys, a part of the body where we store fear and experiences from the past. There are so many benefits to doing Frog. It works on opening the flow of energy in the second chakra area of the body and can certainly help you work with self-esteem, sexuality, creativity, and fear.
If you read to the end, I thank you. Continue to find the light that will get you to bloom into your real self. See you soon!
In loving service,
Rosan
