Happy first day of Leo season! The sign of Leo is creative and uses its creativity to create powerful movements, bringing the wisdom of many energies into one purpose. The energy is actually willful, passionate, and persistent — virtues that we can use right now to start anew. The Sun is the ruler of Leo, and just as the Sun brings light and warmth to the earth, that same energy shines brightly through the heart and soul of Leo.
For this period until August 22, try to harness this energy to make progress on your projects.
If you don’t have a project right now, ask yourself: What is it that you’ve always wanted to do? What gets you excited? Leo is all about finding your confidence. How can you step up and lead?
The full moon energy tomorrow is in Aquarius (10:30 am Manila time). Very apt for this Leo season. Lena of Power Path says, “This is a highly creative time where thinking outside the box and coming up with inspiring innovative ideas and solutions and then sharing them with others will have long-lasting effects. And let’s not forget the fun! Laughter, humor, and a bit of wild abandon can help lift you out of feeling less than exuberant about life.”
Use this month’s great energy by allowing yourself to get motivated and excited!
I’m sharing this chanting meditation I taught last Tuesday called Master’s Touch
It helps remove obstacles and is useful when you feel stuck or confused and ready to let go of something to create space for something new. My Level One Kundalini Yoga teacher, the late Guru Dass, recommended this meditation when I transitioned from corporate to a wellness practitioner in 2015. It made the change easier.
Here’s how to do it:
Sit in an Easy Pose (or chair) with a light neck lock. The eyes are slightly open, focused at the tip of the nose. Place the right index finger on the pad of the left index finger, right palm facing out from the body, left palm facing in towards the body, forming a 45-degree angle of the fingers pointing upwards. Other fingers are curled into the palms with thumbs over. Hold the mudra at the Heart Center, shoulders relaxed. From the navel, chant the mantra in a monotone,
Aad Sach, Jugaad Sach, Hai Bhee Sach, Naanak Hosee Bhee Sach with the sound suchhh emphasized as you pull the navel in on each repetition of the word. Time is 11 minutes. You can do this for up to two and a half hours. When you’re done, inhale, hold your breath, exhale. Relax with the tips of your index fingers and thumbs together for 1 to 2 minutes.
If this helps you, let me know.
May you have a spirited week ahead.
In loving service,
Rosan
