Disappointment, shock, loss or heartbreak follows after a traumatic experience.
And as a result, we lose a portion of our consciousness. From a shamanic perspective, this is called Soul Loss, where a part of the soul or spiritual essence dissociates from the physical body. When we become disassociated, an imbalance is created within the psyche. It feels like something is missing from our lives. The dissociation grows over time, and we struggle to discover what exactly is missing.
Here are some more symptoms of soul loss:
- Emotional numbness, not feeling any emotion
- Feeling disconnected after a break-up or job loss, or even surgery
- Engaging in addictive behavior to fill the void by turning to alcohol, drugs, food, the internet, sex, chasing money, excessive busyness, etc.
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- Experiencing panic attacks, anxiety or irrational fear and phobias
- Low energy and depression
- Codependency
- Feeling unworthy of being loved
- Poor immune system, getting sick often, or feel fatigued
- Prone to bad luck or misfortune
My teacher said that soul retrieval is the “most needed healing around the world today,” as all of us have had soul portion loss in our lives.
The techniques for healing soul loss are soul-retrieval techniques. One method is to search for that lost portion of the soul and restore it so that person feels whole again or power-filled, leading to greater health and well-being. The results of soul retrieval are unique for everyone but definitely, one would feel more whole and present. Some will immediately experience joy and expansiveness, while others will feel quiet, still, and sleepy.
But with the practice of soul loss retrieval, soon they are able to break old patterns, stop of procrastination, and act constructively instead of emotionally, among many other benefits.
This is what I’ve learned about in Chiang Mai, and if it sounds like something you’re interested in exploring, let’s find time to work on this together.
