Earthquakes will be something familiar the next seven years as Uranus, the planet of change and disruption, transits to the zodiac sign Taurus, an earth sign. Astrologers have warned to “expect some strong earthquakes and heightened volcano activities.”

With some three consecutive earthquakes as of writing, it’s better to be prepared than sorry. If you have a Go-Bag, go through it and replace food items or batteries that have expired. Ideally, a Go-Bag is packed in advance and contains enough non-perishable food and water for you that can last several days in case of an emergency. Your Go-Bag should be as light as possible so you can carry it easily. Talk about making minimalism work, and only focusing the essentials.

Not sure what to pack for a Go-Bag? This recommended list from Ready.Gov should come in handy. You may want to keep one at home, at work, and if you drive — in your car. Don’t forget to tag your Go-Bag with your name and address and prepare one for each of your family members.

Here’s a Kundalini Yoga meditation to prepare for an earthquake.

The meditation will help make yourself sensitive to the changes of the earth such as earthquakes, climate change, tidal waves and any kind of natural disasters. You might even be able to emotionally and physically prepare for these sudden changes.

You will also be able to maintain the youthfulness of mind and body, bring health and healing ability, eliminate fatigue and make you intuitive and universally sensitive. I’ll be teaching this meditation to prepare for an earthquake and a meditation to reset your electromagnetic field after an earthquake on April 29.

Here’s how to do it:
Sit straight. Hold your hands at the solar plexus level in fists, except for the index fingers, which are straight. Hold the right-hand palm down, left-hand palm up. Put the right index finger on top of the left index finger, with fingers crossing exactly in the middle of the second segment so that a special meridian contact will take place. Inhale deeply and very slowly (15 seconds) through the nose. Exhale through the puckered mouth (not whistling) forcefully and completely, directing the breath at the tips of the index fingers. Feel the fingertips getting cold or vibrating. Continue for a maximum of 11 minutes. When you finish, lock the fingers and stretch.

Things really on the move, so hang on.
