2023 adds up to 7 from the sum of 2+0+2+3. In numerology, the keywords for 7 are analytical, faith, intuition, logic, philanthropy, self-reflection, and spirituality. They say, “This year will bring collective efforts in reforming spiritual practices. Dive deeper into your practice or set intentions towards personal development. Try not to overthink this year; be aware that seven can manifest as an energy of cynicism. It’s a year of developing your intuitive voice and helping others as well…”
Today is the right time to start as you set your intentions for 2023. All it takes is your commitment to do this meditation for 40 days straight.
For the new year, I’m sharing a meditation to help you strengthen your willpower and help you to fulfill the intentions that you’ve set.
It’s a three-part, 9-minute meditation for new beginnings. The requirement is to do this daily for 40 days. If you miss a day, you have to start over. The meditation is quite apt as it will liberate you from old habitual patterns and give you a fresh start.
Here’s how to do the 40-day meditation in three parts:
Sit crossed-legged on the floor (or chai and raise your right arm to 60-degrees in front of you and bring your left arm at a 60-degree angle pointing downward behind you. The two arms should form a straight 60-degree line. The palm of the right hand faces downward and the palm of the right hand faces upward. The eyes are closed and focused at the center of the chin, the Moon Center.
Part One: Keep the elbows stretched and the index finger of each hand extended with the thumb locking down the other fingersBreathe slowly and deeply. Sit with a straight spine and let your body go through its changes for 3 minutes.
Part Two: Keeping the same posture and eye gaze, extend the pinkie finger with the index finger. Lock the other fingers down with the thumb. Stretch the arms and continue breathing slowly and deeply for 3 minutes.
Part Three: Still maintaining the same posture and eye gaze, extend all the fingers. Tighten all the muscles of the body and stretch the arms. Continue to breathe slowly and deeply for 3 minutes.
To end, inhale, hold your breath for 10 seconds, and stretch and tighten all the muscles of the body. Exhale and repeat this sequence two more times. Relax.
Thank you for continuing to read and I hope that the weekly emails inspire you in some way this year to heal and bring you closer to your dreams. Here’s to a Happy New Year, and see you in 2023.
In loving service,
Rosan
