It’s that time of the year when we experience a lot of disruption, specifically, communication in all aspects. Whether it be in the way we input information, process our thoughts, or express our views, technology mishaps, and possible travel delays. This mercury retrograde will last until October 2.
I’ve been giving mercury retrograde alerts for some time. Because of its close proximity to the Sun, it goes retrograde often, about three to four times a year. This is an excellent time to pay attention to our intuition.
Our meditative right brain becomes stronger during Mercury retrograde, and our left analytical brain is less dominant.
The result is an excellent time to receive downloads and upgrade our awareness level. That’s why it has been recommended to use this time to review, reflect and revise. Understanding the theme of this particular Mercury retrograde may help you make the most of it.
The September mercury retrograde falls a day before the Pisces Full Moon (on September 10, 5:59 pm Manila time). Power Path says, “Past debris comes up for reflection. Material from the past that was never properly assimilated or dealt with can surface for completion. Think of this time as catching up with personal growth work. … Any spiritual searching and intention in this area will bring good results. This is also a time for gratitude for what is ending or changing in your life. Completions can be powerful catalysts for driving much-needed resets.”
Maybe that’s why I’ve been guided to join the Undal retreat of Aleph Center of Accelerated Spiritual Transformation (ACAST) led by Ann Tay in Bali this week. Ann has been doing transmissions in the form of channeled messages, energy activations, attunements, and meditations.
I’m sharing this meditation called the “Mercury Projection” to help you go through the Mercury Retrograde period.
It’s a chanting meditation using the pinkie finger (the finger associated with the planet Mercury) to make your mind very alert.
Here’s how to do it:
Sit in Easy Pose with a straight spine on a chair or in Easy Pose, crossed-legged on the floor. Elbows bent, place the hands in front of the heart center, palms facing each other, fingers pointing up and spread slightly apart. Bring the tips of the thumbs, index, and middle fingers together. The thumbs are stretched back, pointing towards the chest. The ring and pinkie fingers do not touch and are separated by several inches. The palms are also pulled wide apart.
The mantra is “Wahe Guru”. As you chant “Wahe Guru”, gently bring the palms toward one another, just until the tips of the pinkie fingers can touch. The ring fingertips DO NOT touch. This time, chanting again, spread the pinkie fingers apart back to the original position. Continue chanting with the opening and closing of the pinkie finger. The eyes are focused at the tip of the nose. You can do this for 3 minutes or 11 minutes long.
While classes will resume on September 15, please use this time to reflect, go inward, and practice in your own time. See you when I get back!
In loving service,
Rosan
