I’m sharing a natural sleep aid, sea salt, to help you sleep – sea salt! It is a natural hypnotic and is known to regulate melatonin.

Studies show that the body produces more cortisol and adrenaline when you’re stressed or excited. These hormones raise the heart rate making it difficult to sleep. The remedy is to drink a full glass of water and put a few grains of sea salt under the tongue. You will feel sleepy within an hour.

Sea salt vs. table salt

Some may say that salt is salt, and the chemical property is sodium chloride (NaCl). Mayo Clinic nutritionist Katherine Zertasky noted that the differences between sea salt and table salt are in taste, texture, and processing. She said sea salt is produced through the evaporation of seawater, usually with little processing, while table salt is mined from underground salt deposits. Thus, “more heavily processed to eliminate minerals and usually contains an additive to prevent clumping.”

How to use sea salt

The late Dra. Prado, my natural dentist, was the one who introduced me to sea salt. She advised me to dissolve three teaspoons of sea salt in water and drink it daily.

The benefits of taking sea salt will make you consider adding it to your lifestyle habit. It reduces blood pressure, helps eliminate toxins, and regulates PH balance; (when bathing) it gives an antiseptic effect to the skin and may reduce histamine that causes inflammation and itching sensation; (in a diffuser) helps in relieving congestion and asthma. (and under the tongue) stops persistent dry cough.

Aside from using sea salt as my go-to homeopathic remedy kit, I also use it for space clearing. Why not give it a try, and see if it helps you with what you need.
