There are six planets in retrograde and another one, Mars, on October 30. What messages have you been getting about retrograde? A friend sent a message to our group chat about her appliance woes. She wrote, “Mercury in retrograde- one air purifier blew up last Friday night. Then yesterday, our ref also popped and sparked. So we had to unplug it. Sigh. Waiting on a technician.” I replied, “Actually, SIX planets are in retrograde – Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. So everything is intense right now. Stay cool.”
I know I talked about the retrograde a few weeks back. To reiterate, retrograde happens when a planet appears to be moving backward from the Earth’s perspective. The retrograde period is a time to revisit that planet’s lessons and integrate them. During the planet’s retrograde cycle, the planet’s energy you experience is directed inward.
Here are the lessons of the six retrograde planets:
It’s pretty rare to have more than three planets in retrograde. My favorite astrologer, Pam Gregory, has been saying, “We are moving into the biggest times of the year. We are looking at a massive evolutionary jump in the next three months.”
We have two cosmic events happening.
The first is the Equinox today at 9:03 am (Manila time). An equinox occurs when the day and night are of equal length, which happens twice a year, on March 20 and today, September 23. For those north of the equator, this is called the Fall equinox. The spiritual significance is the letting of the old. It is an excellent time to contemplate what no longer serves you and what you need to let go of.
The second cosmic event is the New Moon in Libra on Monday at 5:54 am (Manila time). Pam says the placement of the New Moon is “Exactly by degree on the Super Galactic Centre, emphasizing the importance of these times even more. All the same major aspects apply here as at the Libra Equinox above, as this is only two days after the Equinox… This suggests great creativity and that our imaginations are likely to be very active – tune into your dreams.”
These cosmic events with the retrogrades, the equinox, and new moon are somehow allowing the Universe to let us pause and reflect on our past actions and ask for clarity in our next steps or what direction we now want to take.
Rather than worry, get into the practice to help set your mind and intentions to make use of these energies. A New Moon Eve in Libra class can help with that. And if you would like a getaway and reset, there will be a yoga retreat, “The Awakened Woman” in Batangas on the weekend of October 8 to 10.
Let it flow, then let it go. Be well and take care, always.
In loving service,
Rosan
