Did you feel the solar storm this past midweek?
A solar storm takes place when the Sun emits huge bursts of energy called coronal mass ejections (CME) or solar flares. These events happen on the part of the sun facing the Earth where sunspots are visible. These sunspots are, according to the Australian Academy of Science, “tens of thousands kilometres wide.… when there are many sunspots, the sun tends to unleash more violent space weather; when there are few sunspots, we’re generally safer.” The sun can spew a stream of electrical charges and magnetic fields at a speed of about 3 million miles per hour towards the Earth.

Brace yourself for communication break downs
When the solar particles hit the Earth’s atmosphere, it produces the breathtaking aurora borealis, the northern lights spectacle in the Arctic Circle. It’s not all that spectacular though. Massive solar storms can be damaging and disrupt various forms of electronic communications. NASA reported that “When a CME hits the magnetosphere — the region around Earth controlled by our planet’s magnetic field — most of the incoming material is deflected away. If the shock wave is very strong… it can compress the magnetosphere and unleash a geomagnetic storm. In extreme cases, such storms can induce electric currents in the Earth that interfere with electric power transmission equipment. Satellite failures are possible, too.”

A powerful solar flare in August 1972 caused power outages and electrical disturbances across Illinois. In March 1989, it set off a power blackout in Quebec for nine hours. In May 2006, it disrupted satellite-to-ground communications and Global Positioning System (GPS) navigation signals for about 10 minutes.

Common symptoms during a solar storms

Alex Myles posted on Instagram, “Solar storms are known to desynchronise our circadian rhythm, which is the internal biological clock that controls our sleep and wake times. Affected by this electromagnetic activity, our pineal glands produce an increase in melatonin—thus disturbing our sleep and throwing our intuition and inherent orientation out of sync. We suffer from disrupted sleep patterns, exhaustion, and vivid dreams.”

The Learning Mind also confirms that there is a link between solar activity and our physical and emotional wellbeing. “Each peak corresponds to a higher incidence of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and other emotional disorders. The electromagnetic activity of the sun affects our electronic devices and the human electromagnetic field. Thus, we are physically, mentally and emotionally altered by the electromagnetic charges of the sun, and our body can experience various emotions and changes.”

If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, see what’s coming up for you.
This is what energies do – either energy from the sun or moon – it triggers us, bringing up repressed emotions from our subconscious mind. Learning Mind adds that “The role of the photonic energy is to connect us to our deepest wounds, repressed emotions and desires that we have ignored. it forces us to make drastic changes and exit the cycle we have indulged.”

As always, it’s best to quiet the mind, go inward and meditate. Alex Myles says, “When we have slowed down, we are in a far better position to receive energetic downloads and DNA activations that help our vibration shift to a higher dimension.”

We will be riding out these energies with a Full Moon in Sagittarius class on June 17 (Monday) and Clearing the Blocks on the eve of the Solstice on June 20 (Thursday).

Ride out these storms but do not forget to look inward.

In loving service,
Rosan
