Have you tried Yogi Tea? I’ve been enjoying Yogi Tea since I found it in 2013, when I started practicing Kundalini Yoga. It’s a blend of warming spices including cardamom, cardamom, pepper, cloves, cinnamon and ginger. As I continue to write about Yogi Tea, I find it particularly comforting during the rainy season offering not only warmth but also a range of health benefits.
Here are 5 Benefits of Yogi Tea for the rainy season:
1. Boosts immunity
The rainy season often brings increased humidity, which can lead to cols and flu. The ingredients like ginger and cinnamon are known for their immune-boosting properties. Ginger enhances circulation and helps fight off infections, while cinnamon has antimicrobial properties that help combat bacterial and fungal infections.
2. Aids digestion
With the monsoon comes cravings for heavier, oilier and spicier foods which can lead to digestive issues like acidity, heartburn and indigestion when consumed in excess. Ginger and cardamom help stimulate the digestive system, reducing bloating and alleviating gas.
3. Provides comfort and warmth
On chilly, rainy days, the aromatic spices in Yogi Tea make it a perfect beverage to enjoy while curling up with a book or during a yoga session. This helps enhance relaxation and mindfulness, essential during the gloomy rainy season.
4. Reduces stress and anxiety
The dreariness of the weather can contribute to seasonal affective disorder (SAD). The ritual of brewing and sipping Yogi Tea serves as a mindfulness practice, allowing you to slow down and appreciate the moment.
5. Supports overall well being
The combination of spices helps maintain a balanced body and mind. Black pepper purifies the blood, cinnamon strengthens bones, cardamon supports colon health, cloves build the nervous system and have analgesic properties, and ginger is rich in antioxidants.
