Merry Christmas, everyone! And here’s to another year that we’ve overcome together.
This letter is about the very heart of Christmas, of giving and community. Last weekend a storm devastated southern Philippines. Entire houses have been uprooted, and people affected by the storm have no steady source of food and water. Survivors need canned goods, rice, drinking water, water filters, and tents.
Several individuals and organizations are setting up donation drives right now to help people in need and rebuild communities. A couple of friends – one in Siargao and the other in Bohol – are currently organizing relief operations. Their details are below:
For Bohol, there is no banking system so it’s best to send canned goods, rice, water and aquatabs. Label the goods and send to Emma Gomez. Coordinate with her at +63-977 814 1969.
Do include everyone affected by the storm in your prayers. Give what you can so you may bring out the holiday spirit to those who need it the most.
