I became intrigued by hydrogen therapy after witnessing its effects on my sister. Despite her having white hair, I noticed the roots had started turning black last Sunday over lunch. When I asked her about it, she said that she’s been using a hydrogen machine for the past two months.
She actually learned about it from my older sister, who has been battling lung cancer for the past 11 years in the United States. As her cancer has progressed, she’s been enduring aggressive chemotherapy sessions, causing her oxygen levels to drop as low as 64%. As part of her complementary treatment, she has incorporated hydrogen therapy into her daily routine which involves using a hydrogen inhalation machine for at least three hours each day and consuming hydrogen-infused water.
What is Hydrogen Therapy?
The effectiveness of hydrogen therapy was highlighted in a 2007 paper in the United States by the National Institute of Health (NIH). It concluded that hydrogen shows promise as a therapeutic aid. While more extensive research is needed, the findings suggest that hydrogen is worth considering as a complement to existing cancer treatments.
The benefits of hydrogen therapy extend beyond cancer treatment to a wide range of conditions including metabolic syndrome, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, Parkinson’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis, hepatitis B, wound healing, recovery from radiotherapy, cognitive impairment, asthma, and even athletic performance.
There are other ways to increase hydrogen levels in the body.
Aside from using an inhalation machine and drinking hydrgogen-infused water, Living Arts Wellness recommends bathing in hydrogen water, hyperbaric hydrogen chambers, intravenous injection of hydrogen-rich saline, and consuming turmeric, known to enhance hydrogen production by intestinal bacteria.
Seeing the positive changes in both my sisters’ overall well-being —particularly the signs of rejuvenation seen in my sister’s hair—I might just join them. I’m not investing in an inhalation machine yet but will start with drinking hydrogen-infused water.
If you’re also doing hydrogen therapy, let’s exchange tips!
In loving service,
Rosan
