“Goals are dreams with a deadline.” -Napoleon Hill
I was recently asked how to write goals and if it means making a list of things to do. There are dreams and they are attainable and goals are the way to get there. It may seem like a to-do list because you set a deadline for each goal.

If you’re struggling with setting goals and intentions and find it easier to identify what you don’t like, here’s how to turn your don’t wants to wants: Get a piece of paper and list down everything that you don’t want in your life in one column. Write at least 50. Go over the list and on the opposite side, write the exact polar opposite.
This is the law of polarity that states that for anything to exist, there has to be an equal and exact opposite.
So if you don’t want to be overweight, write the exact polar opposite, which is to be healthy and strong. You may even indicate how much you want to weigh. If you don’t want to be in debt or broke, write the exact polar opposite, financial freedom and write down how much you want to earn. If you are looking for your dream partner, write down all the qualities that you don’t want and the exact polar opposite.
Use this exercise as an opportunity to find out what you really want in life. Just remember to write everything in a positive way. The universe doesn’t differentiate between a negative or positive intention. If you write you want to be debt-free or cancer-free, the universe will give you debt and cancer.
Set your intentions out and you’ll be surprised by how the universe will conspire with you to make it happen. Even the Bible says, “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask in prayer.” Just don’t worry about how you’ll arrive at your goal. Write everything down to give you clarity and focus, and to remind you to keep yourself on track, especially when you are under a lot of stress.
You may time your intention-setting with the energy of the moon.
The new moon is the beginning of the lunar cycle and the best time for planning and seeding your goals and intentions. As the moon’s light waxes, your intentions will manifest. Full moons, on the other hand, may be used to release what is no longer serving your higher purpose and give gratitude for what has already. We have two full moons this month that’s why the second one is called a Blue Moon. The next Blue Moon is in March.
Bloom into the new year with the intentions you set. Stay focused and positive. 🌸
In loving service,
